how see you soon started

sometime around end of march i was drunk and eating leftover pho from my local thai restaurant. shout out to lucki thai for the pho. i was scrolling on tiktok cuz i like to watch stuff and eat. and yk algorithm was algorithming at the time and its like super curated content. im seeing italian brainrot, cringy ai vids, and cat vids. im not italian btw. so i thought hey wouldnt it be cool if everyone saw the exact same posts at the exact same time??? and thats pretty much how see you soon started.

Let's Go Through The Basics

Camera/Submission

you can take up to 5 photos a day. you can add a name and note to the photo. they are saved to your profile as a memory. you can keep these photos as private/friends only/everyone. if its set to everyone, it can be picked to be featured in the future.

Featured Feed

theres a big countdown timer on the main page. you cant miss it, itll tell you when the next drop is. 4 times a day, at the exact same time for everyone globally cause timezones are fun… everyone will see the same few new posts each drop.

number of posts for each drop can vary, probably anywhere from 10-20 so at most u will see 40-80 posts a day. no doom scrolling on my app!!!

posts are randomly picked, it gives me random submission number that is set to everyone for privacy and thats pretty much the entry. in theory, if you post 5 times a day, ur chances are higher compared to 1 times a day.

Moderation

although posts are randomly selected, i do have to double check to make sure there are no inappropriate or nsfw content, no promotional/ads, no scams, no harassment or hate speech. yk the usual basics.

Friends

yea so you have a feed where you can see your friends posts. you can have up to 10 friends. it may be controversial but the sys app is meant to be for your CLOSE friends. in contrast to other social media, i wanted to limit the number of people you are friends with mainly because its not an app where you make friends but more so foster your existing close friendships. considering you can see your close friends full memory of posts implies that its meant to be close space. however, if you need more limit to your friends list, feel free to dm or email me and id be happy to increase it

Profile

this is your little memory archive or time capsule space where you can see the photos you took over the days, months and years. its grouped by the date and has the date,time, note, name and location. you can change the privacy settings for each post to be shared w the everyone, friends or no one. you cant delete a photo, i know its bit non-traditional but the idea behind it was you are capturing a moment in time, adding a note to it and it doesnt make sense to remove it. however you can set it to private if you dont want your friends to see it.

Account Deletion

this is very important. in the settings, you can delete your account, there will be a confirmation box. once you confirm, it will delete EVERYTHING. you cannot retrieve or recover it. i cant recover it for you. i can or may implement a soft delete with grace period where you can recover it within X amount of days but at the moment, its perma delete.
